Thomas A. King is among Indianapolis’ most respected business leaders. Mr. King has never forgotten his IPS roots, and has lent his voice in support of the district’s ongoing Capital Improvements Program to ensure IPS schools are renovated or rebuilt with the infrastructure necessary to serve generations of future graduates.

In 2005, Mr. King formed Thomas A. King Consulting, where he serves as president. Prior to stepping out on his own, Mr. King worked at Eli Lilly and Company from 1995-2005, where he was manager of contributions, community and guest relations and served as president of the Eli Lilly and Company Foundation.

From 1991-1995, Mr. King was vice president of corporate affairs for IPALCO Enterprises. From 1979 to 1991, Mr. King was president of the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce. Mr. King is a member of the IUPUI Board of Advisors, is chairman of the Indiana Sports Corporation, and serves on the board of the Center for Leadership Development.
