Military veteran, retired Western Electric employee, community activist/volunteer. He so loved being a Continental, that when his family moved into another school district, Jack transferred back to Washington. After the school closed in 1995, he worked with the group that helped get the school reopened five years later. He was the emcee for the rededication ceremony in 2000 and the school's 75th anniversary in 2002. He reorganized the Alumni Association, which now has more than 1,000 dues-paying members. Even though he now lives in Warren Township, he remains a visible presence at Washington, whether as a ticket taker at home games or school concerts. He's helped to restore many of the school's traditions, which students enjoy. Nominated by Marilyn Tirmenstein Rentsch.
